The Ninth Workshop on the Use of Computational Methods in the Study of Endangered Languages (ComputEL-9) invites submissions for papers. The workshop is co-located with ACL 2026 in San Diego, California, on July 4, 2026.

Submissions should explore the interface and intersection of computational linguistics, documentary linguistics, and community-based efforts in language revitalization and reclamation.

  • Submissions can be short (up to 4 pages) or long (up to 8 pages).
  • Papers must include sections on ethical considerations and limitations.
  • Submissions must be anonymous and follow ACL Style Files.
  • Submit papers via SoftConf by April 1, 2026.
