🇺🇸 Postdoc Position in Causal Inference at CUNY School of Public Health

Postdoc position available at CUNY School of Public Health for research on causal inference and dynamic treatment strategies for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.

A postdoctoral researcher with a background in causal inference is being recruited to work on estimating effects of dynamic treatment strategies for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.

The project involves conducting target trial emulations to assess alternative strategies for initiating steroids and neuromuscular blockade, as well as manipulating ventilator settings. The team also aims to learn robust and interpretable phenotypes useful for dynamic decision-making.

• The team is led by three co-PIs: a statistician with expertise in causal inference, a machine learning researcher at MIT/Physionet, and an ICU physician researcher at BIDMC/Harvard Medical School.
• Funding is available through September 2027, with a possible extension for two more years.
• The salary is approximately $75K per year.
• Remote work is possible, but the primary PI is based in NYC and other PIs are based in Boston.
