The 3rd International Workshop on Gender-Inclusive Translation Technologies (GITT) at MT Summit 2025 invites submissions on gender inclusivity in translation and MT tools.
The Third International Workshop on Gender-Inclusive Translation Technologies (GITT) will take place on 23 June 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. The workshop, part of MT Summit 2025, aims to bring together researchers, industry partners, and language professionals to address gender inclusivity in translation and machine translation (MT) tools.
Important Dates:
- Submission deadline: 10 March, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: 4 April, 2025
- Camera Ready Copy due: 11 April, 2025
- Workshop: 23 June, 2025
Topics of Interest:
- Models or methods for assessing and mitigating gender bias
- New resources for inclusive language and gender translation
- Social, cross-lingual, and ethical implications of gender bias
- Qualitative and quantitative analyses on the potential limits of current approaches to gender bias in translation and MT
- User-centric case studies on the impact of biased language and/or mitigating approaches
Submission Types:
- Research papers: 4-10 pages (excluding references)
- Extended Abstracts: up to 2 pages (including references)
- Research Communications: up to 2 pages (including references)
- Potluck Communications: short abstract up to 500 words (including references)
