9th Workshop on Online Abuse and Harms (WOAH) @ACL 2025: Call for Papers

WOAH 2025 invites paper submissions on detecting abusive and harmful online content, biases in existing detection models, and social, legal, and ethical considerations.

The 9th Workshop on Online Abuse and Harms (WOAH) invites paper submissions from diverse fields, including natural language processing, machine learning, and social sciences. The workshop will take place on August 1, 2025, at ACL 2025.

Topics include detecting abusive and harmful online content, biases in existing detection models, and social, legal, and ethical considerations. The special theme is ‘Harms Beyond Hate Speech,’ exploring nuanced ways online harms manifest.

Submission types include academic papers, non-archival submissions, and civil society reports. All submissions must use the official ACL style files and adhere to workshop policies.
