Announcing the PhyRC Challenge: A Robotics Competition for Physical Caregiving

The EmPRISE Lab is thrilled to announce the PhyRC Challenge, a competition to facilitate innovation in physical robotic caregiving. The competition has two tracks: Track 1: Fixed-based Manipulation for Robot-assisted Dressing and Track 2: Mobile Manipulation for Robot-assisted Bed Bathing. Each track is evaluated through two phases: Phase 1: Simulation Phase and Phase 2: Real Robot Phase. Winning teams of each track will receive a Kinova Gen 3 7-DoF robot arm and a Hello Robot Stretch 3 robot, respectively. The registration deadline is August 31, 2024.
