Call for Papers – IROS 2024 Workshop on Maritime Heterogeneous Unmanned Robotic Systems
The IROS 2024 Workshop on Maritime Heterogeneous Unmanned Robotic Systems (MHURS) is seeking papers for its upcoming event. The workshop aims to explore the integration of advanced technologies in the maritime domain with robotics, including unmanned surface vessels (USVs), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), underwater autonomous vehicles (AUVs) and manipulators. With sustainability as a guiding principle, the workshop will examine how MHURS can contribute to achieving eco-friendly maritime practices. The objectives of the workshop include providing an overview of the latest advancements and applications of MHURS technologies, discussing the challenges and opportunities associated with integrating MHURS into real-world scenarios, and facilitating networking and collaboration among participants.
The call for papers will target audiences from both academia and industry that have developed and demonstrated relevant solutions for Heterogeneous Unmanned Robotic Systems in the Maritime industry. The workshop will enable active interaction and exchange of knowledge and ideas between academia and industry. All presentations and papers will be made available through the website of the workshop.
The best paper will be selected from the submissions and awarded with a certificate. The winner will be announced at the workshop.
The paper submission deadline is September 15, 2024 (tentative) and all submissions should be emailed to: mhursiros@gmail.com.
Confirmed invited speakers include Prof. Jinwhan Kim, Dr. Barbara Arbanas Ferreira, Dr. Irfan Hussain, Prof. Shaoming He, Francesco La Gala, Veena Hausen, Dr. Fei Gao, Prof. Hanumant Singh, Dr. Eliseo Ferrante, and Dr. Yanjun Cao.
