Corpus Linguistics and AI: Informal Meetings at Lancaster University
Lancaster University’s ESRC Centre for Corpus Approaches to Social Science hosts informal meetings on corpus linguistics and AI, with a series of sessions starting 14 May.
The ESRC Centre for Corpus Approaches to Social Science at Lancaster University is hosting a series of informal meetings to discuss key issues in corpus linguistics this summer term. The theme is ‘How Not to Be Replaced by AI: Corpus Linguistics Reflections’.
Each session will combine theoretical insights with practical applications, drawing on selected readings and current debates in both AI and corpus linguistics.

- 28 May: What can AI do better/worse than humans (Brezina, 2025: pp. 79-83)
- 11 June: Communicating Corpus Findings Effectively (Brezina, 2025: pp. 83-85)
- 25 June: #LancsBox X: A New Vision (Brezina, 2025: pp. 86-89)
