ECAI Workshop on AI in Finance – Call for Papers Deadline Extension
The ECAI Workshop on AI in Finance (AIFin’24) has announced a deadline extension for its Call for Papers. The workshop, which will take place in Santiago de Compostela, Spain on October 19-20, 2024, aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from industry and academia to share and discuss recent advancements in AI applications for financial services. The deadline for submissions has been extended to May 23, 2024. The workshop is related to a series of events at the intersection of AI in Finance, including the AAIA Bridge on AI for Financial Services, the ICAPS Workshop on Planning and Scheduling for Financial Services, the KDD Finance Day, and the KDD Workshop on Machine Learning in Finance.
The workshop is interested in all different types of submissions that are relevant to general financial problems, including but not limited to generative models, planning, search, constraint-based reasoning, optimization, reinforcement learning, meta learning, federated learning, representation learning, transfer learning, natural language processing, time series prediction, validation and calibration of financial models, multi-agent systems, game-theoretic analysis, explainability, ethics, fairness, security, privacy, computational regulation, robustness, and uncertainty quantification. Potential applications of interest include fraud detection, early detection of firm defaults, blockchain and cryptocurrency, risk modeling and management, trading, pricing strategies, robot-advising, and financial time series analysis.
The workshop invites two types of submissions: extended abstracts of 2-4 pages presenting challenges or outlining ideas, and full papers of at most 7 pages (plus at most an additional page for references) presenting an original contribution. Submissions must be written in English using the ECAI LaTeX template and will be reviewed using a double blind process. The page limits apply to the inclusion of any appendices or supplementary material to the paper. The deadline for submissions is May 23, 2024.
