The University of Tartu is seeking applicants for a fully funded PhD position in computational social science, focusing on applying ML and LLMs to large media text corpora. The project ‘Rise and Demise of Industrial Modernity’ is based on the Deep Transitions framework and aims to develop a new theory about the acceleration, crisis, and transformation of industrial modernity.
