Fully-funded PhD in Brain-machine interfaces for UK home students, focusing on non-invasive BMIs and AI-based neural signal processing.

A unique opportunity is available for a fully-funded PhD in Brain-machine interfaces at the University of Manchester, open to UK home students. This 3.5-year project focuses on developing non-invasive BMIs that integrate AI-based neural signal processing techniques and large language models.

The ideal candidate will possess self-discipline, diligence, and passion for academic research, with a strong drive to explore and solve scientific challenges creatively. Proficiency in English and programming experience in artificial neural networks, deep learning, and natural language processing are highly desirable.
