Multiple PhD positions available in Neuroexplicit Models of Language, Vision, and Action. Funded for four years, starting September 2025.

The Research Training Group 2853 ‘Neuroexplicit Models of Language, Vision, and Action’ is offering multiple PhD positions starting September 2025. Neuroexplicit models combine neural and human-interpretable models to overcome their individual limitations.

Key areas of focus include:

• Natural Language Processing (‘Language’)
• Computer Vision (‘Vision’)
• Planning and Reinforcement Learning (‘Action’)
• Novel Machine Learning techniques for neuroexplicit models (‘Foundations’)

Positions are funded for four years at the TV-L E13 100% pay scale. Applicants should have or be about to complete an MSc degree in Computer Science or a related field.
