New Brazilian Political Corpus Available – BrPoliCorpus V 1.0

Dear Colleagues,

Introducing BrPoliCorpus, an open data set of Brazilian political documents comprising 441.644.155 million words. The corpus is intended to be useful for linguists and political scientists. It is currently available for distribution via the R package or as freely downloadable spreadsheets, which contain the texts and all metadata for context.

The corpus includes:

• Ordinary congress floor sessions
• Ordinary congress committees
• CPI (Parliamentary Inquiry Commission)
• Presidential inaugural speeches
• Government programmes for the offices of Governor and President of the Republic
