The National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Tokyo, Japan is hosting the 18th NTCIR conference from June 10-13, 2025. NTCIR is a major forum for researchers to discuss the evaluation methodology of emerging information access technologies. This year, NTCIR-18 is calling for task participation from anyone interested in retrieval from document collections, question answering, and natural language processing. The conference welcomes students, young researchers, professors, researchers from industry, and anyone interested in informatics. Since its inception, NTCIR has been instrumental in developing the infrastructure for the evaluation of information access technologies. It has contributed to the development of these technologies by experimentally evaluating them using test collections constructed through collaborations of many researchers. Over the years, NTCIR has attracted over 1,000 participant research groups worldwide and has been used by over 4,600 research groups in their research.
