Penn State CSE: Tenure-Track AI Positions Available

Penn State’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering is hiring tenure-track faculty in AI. Apply by December 15, 2025, for full consideration.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Penn State is inviting applications for multiple tenure-track positions in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at all levels.

This strategic cluster hire is conducted in partnership with the Penn State Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS) and other institutes/departments.

• Key areas of interest include: Machine learning theory, Foundation methods and generative AI, Reinforcement learning and decision systems, Hardware and system support for AI, Edge intelligence and federated learning, AI-specialized privacy and security, AI safety, ethics and fairness, Quantum ML (QML), Multimodal AI, robotics, and embodied intelligence.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field and be committed to excellence in research and teaching.
