Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our Robotics and AI Lab at IE University’s School of Science and Technology. The successful candidate will contribute to a cutting-edge project that lies at the intersection of robotics, AI, and blockchain technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on pioneering research that develops autonomous robots capable of economic self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to ongoing development and co-lead new enhancements to autonomous decision-making, AI-driven creative processes, and blockchain-based economic transactions
- Design and implement advanced algorithms that enable robots to autonomously generate, market, and sell their own labor
- Collaborate with faculty, students, and other researchers in the department to advance the project’s objectives
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students involved in the project and related research
- Produce high-quality research publications and present findings at international conferences
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong background in blockchain-based technology
- Experience with decentralized finance
- Proven track record of high-quality research publications in relevant fields
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with real-world robot platforms and autonomous systems
- Familiarity with Ethereum smart contracts
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and Solidity
