Aloha data/ML/AI scientists! We’re inviting applications for a 2-4 week visit to the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Institute for Astronomy in summer 2026 to discuss and research transient and variable phenomena in planetary systems.

Topics of interest include:

  • Machine learning analysis tools and discovery frameworks
  • Identification of anomalies in archival data
  • Real-time event identification and brokerage
  • Citizen science
  • Exocomets and planetesimal/asteroid collisions

Selected applicants will receive a $700 air travel allowance and an $800 per week stipend. To apply, complete the application form by November 24.
