Two Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder

The Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions in mathematical data science and mathematical climate science. The Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking applicants for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in the areas of mathematical data science and mathematical climate science. The mathematical data science position involves the development of a comprehensive theoretical foundation for machine learning and modern artificial intelligence applications, while the mathematical climate science position focuses on the development, analysis, and application of innovative mathematical methods to study the fundamental physical components of the climate system.

The mathematical climate science position is part of a cluster hire in the area of Climate Physics and Mathematics and offers laboratory space for experimental research. The department is committed to supporting the diverse student populations in their department and its associated campus educational mission, and successful candidates must demonstrate a dedication to teaching excellence in their undergraduate and graduate programs.
