Research position available at Uni Hildesheim for EDIKILEX project

A research position is available at the University of Hildesheim’s Institute for Information Science and Language Technology. The position is part of the EDIKILEX project, which aims to develop AI methods for lemmatization and semanticization of Early New High German texts.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of a modular architecture for the EDIKILEX system and develop user interfaces for different target groups. They will also be responsible for documenting and publishing their work within the project and at scientific conferences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and implementation of a modular architecture for the EDIKILEX system
  • Design and implementation of user interfaces for different target groups
  • Documentation and publication of project work
  • Contribution to research data management

Requirements include a completed academic degree in Computer Linguistics, Computer Science, Information Science, Digital Humanities, or a related field, as well as proficiency in German (C1 level) and good English skills. Programming experience and experience in collaborative software development are also required.
