IEEE CoG 2026 special session on spatial intelligence through games
The IEEE Conference on Games (CoG) 2026 will feature a special session on Evaluating and Advancing Spatial Intelligence through Games. This session seeks contributions that use games as diagnostic tools or environments for developing and evaluating spatial intelligence in AI systems.
Topics of interest include core instruction following and giving tasks, related sub-problems, reward modeling, and novel task formulations to evaluate spatial intelligence capabilities. Methodological contributions are invited in areas such as data and resources, modeling approaches, and evaluation and analysis.
Submission instructions: submit papers through the conference submission system. All paper submissions should follow the recommended IEEE conference author guidelines, available at https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.
- Short papers (4 pages): describe work in progress or new progress on projects.
- Competition papers (8 pages): describe research related to competitions in the Games community.
- Vision papers (8 pages): describe a vision for the future of the Games field.
