The Synthetic Society Lab at the Oxford Internet Institute is inviting applications for a 3-year postdoctoral position focused on AI, Privacy, and Public Interest Technology. The ideal candidate will have a background in applied maths, statistical learning, ML, or related fields and be interested in sociotechnical research.

• The post is funded by the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship, offering autonomy and flexibility.

Applicants should hold a PhD/DPhil in computer science, statistics, or a related field. A strong track record of first-author publications is expected.
