3rd Clarity Prediction Challenge for Hearing Device Intelligibility Prediction

The 3rd Clarity Prediction Challenge aims to improve hearing enhancement technologies by developing reliable methods for automatically assessing speech intelligibility.

The 3rd Clarity Prediction Challenge (CPC-3) is now open for submissions. The challenge aims to improve hearing enhancement technologies by developing reliable methods for automatically assessing the speech intelligibility of audio signals.

The challenge provides a range of resources, including hearing aid outputs, clean speech reference signals, listening test results, and listener characteristics. Participants will need to predict intelligibility scores based on the hearing aid outputs, and can choose to develop either intrusive or non-intrusive systems.

There will be cash prizes for the top three systems, courtesy of the Hearing Industry Research Consortium. The results of the challenge will be showcased at an ISCA workshop satellite event of Interspeech 2025 in Rotterdam on 22nd August 2025.

Important dates include:

  • 17th March 2025: Launch of challenge and release of training data set
  • 24th March 2025: Release of development data
  • 14th April 2025: Opening of development data leaderboard
  • 1st July 2025: Release of evaluation data
  • 31st July 2025: Submission deadline
