3rd International Conference on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (3ICEAI) – Call for Abstracts

The 3rd International Conference on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (3ICEAI) is happening from 19-25 September 2024. This event will be held in two segments: the first, from 19-20 September, will be online, while the second, from 23-25 September, will be in-person. The conference will feature the ETHICS OF AI AWARD 2024, where the best-submitted abstract will receive an opportunity to deliver a special Award Talk. Selected papers presented at the conference will be considered for inclusion in the Palgrave Handbook of the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence.

The community is invited to submit proposals in different research fields until 1st August 2024. The conference will have several keynote speakers, including Sabina Leonelli, Pekka Mäkelä, Ariane Hanemaayer, Raul Hakli, Eleanor Drage, Hasse Hämäläinen, and Veridiana Cordeiro. The conference will cover a wide range of topics related to the ethics of AI, including algorithmic fairness, privacy, transparency, accountability, human rights, AI in healthcare, AI in autonomous systems, ethical frameworks, AI and decision-making, ethics of AI in public policy, AI and environmental ethics, ethical education, AI in the workplace, and global perspectives on AI ethics.

The registration fees for professionals are € 160,00, and for students, € 110,00. The languages of the colloquium are English and Portuguese. Proposals should include two files: a cover page with identification, academic affiliation, and title, and an anonymized title and abstract (maximum 250 words). The deadline for proposal submission is 1st August 2024. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be given in a 7-10 days period after the submission is submitted.
