ACM TOIS Special Issue on Query Performance Prediction: Call for Papers
Submit your papers for the ACM TOIS Special Issue on Query Performance Prediction (QPP) towards novel information retrieval paradigms. The submission deadline is March 15, 2025. For further information, please write to Dr. Guglielmo Faggioli.
The ACM Transactions on Information Systems invites papers for a special issue on Query Performance Prediction (QPP) towards novel information retrieval paradigms. QPP is the task of assessing or predicting the performance of a query without human-made relevance judgements. The special issue focuses on QPP models designed for novel searching and filtering paradigms such as neural IR, Large Language Models, and Retrieval Augmented Generation. The topics of interest include application of QPP to neural information retrieval systems, usage of QPP for modern tasks, usage of Large Language Models for QPP, QPP evaluation measures, and development of QPP evaluation collection.
The submission deadline is March 15, 2025. For further information, please write to Dr. Guglielmo Faggioli at guglielmo.faggioli at unipd.it.
