ACM Transactions on Recommender Systems Special Issue: Recommender Systems for Good

The ACM Transactions on Recommender Systems has announced a call for papers for a special issue on Recommender Systems for Good. The submission deadline is December 24, 2024. The guest editors for this special issue are Marko Tkalčič, Noemi Mauro, Alan Said, Nava Tintarev, and Antonela Tommasel. The special issue aims to present state-of-the-art research works where recommender systems have a positive societal impact and help address urgent societal challenges. Topics of interest include recommender systems for safety, security, and privacy, protecting the environment and ecosystems, giving control of data back to the users, recommender systems for the interconnected society, accountability in recommender systems, and more.
