ESSAI 2026: 2nd Call for Course Proposals
ESSAI 2026 invites AI researchers to submit course proposals for its summer school in Vienna, Austria, covering various AI subdisciplines and special themes like Bilateral AI and Digital Humanism.
The 4th European Summer School on Artificial Intelligence (ESSAI 2026) invites leading AI researchers to submit course proposals. The event will be held from July 6-10, 2026, in Vienna, Austria, and will include the 2nd International Summer School on Bilateral AI.
ESSAI is the largest broad AI school in Europe, covering all AI subdisciplines and their interconnections, similar to major AI conferences like ECAI, IJCAI, and AAAI.
- Deadline for submitting a course proposal: December 3, 2025 (AoE)
- Notification of acceptance: January 21, 2026
- Summer school dates: July 6-10, 2026
Course proposals are invited in all areas of AI, including but not limited to: Autonomous Agents, AI for Social Good, Causality, Computer Vision, Ethical AI, Foundation Models, Human-In-The-Loop AI, Knowledge Representation, Machine Learning, NLP, Neural Networks, Planning, Quantum Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Robotics, Safe AI, Search & Optimization, and Uncertainty in AI.
Special themes for ESSAI 2026 include Bilateral AI and Digital Humanism. Courses should consist of 4 lectures of 90 minutes each and can be either introductory or advanced.
