AI for Interoperability: A Special Issue on AI-Driven Data Interoperability

This special issue, titled AI for Interoperability, explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing data interoperability. With the increasing number of data processing technologies, interoperability represents one of the biggest challenges in gathering information from heterogeneous sources. AI can intervene at different steps of the data processing lifecycle to adapt data collection, perform semantic enrichment, and federate knowledge from multiple repositories. The special issue focuses on the domains of the Internet of Things, Big Data, and Knowledge Graphs, and covers topics such as AI-driven standardization, federated knowledge extraction, and interoperable architecture.

The submission portal for this special issue opens on May 15th, 2024. Manuscripts should be submitted through the FGCS’s submission system and should be selected as the article type VSI: AI for Interoperability. All submissions will undergo peer review, and accepted manuscripts will be published in the special issue.
