AIces 2026: International School on AI’s Cognitive, Ethical & Societal Dimensions

AIces 2026 is an international school on AI’s cognitive, ethical, and societal dimensions, featuring keynote speakers and courses on AI’s latest developments.

The 1st International School on the Cognitive, Ethical and Societal Dimensions of Artificial Intelligence (AIces 2026) will be held in Porto, Portugal, from January 19-23, 2026.

Co-organized by the University of Maia and the Institute for Research Development, Training and Advice (IRDTA), the event will cover recent multidisciplinary discussions on AI’s foundations, challenges, and risks.

• Keynote speakers include Georgios B. Giannakis and Ming Lin.
• 12 courses will be offered, along with 2 keynote lectures, 1 round table, 1 symposium, and 3 open debates.
• Participants can attend in person or online.

Registration is open until the venue’s capacity is reached, with early registration starting on August 19, 2025.
