ALVABET Workshop at LLcD 2024: Bridging NLP and Variation Analysis
The Analysis of Linguistic VAriation for BEtter Tools (ALVABET) workshop, taking place at the LLcD 2024 Conference, aims to explore the mutual benefits of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and variation analysis in the fields of morphosyntax and syntax. The workshop focuses on diachronic and diatopic perspectives, as well as genre, domain, or form of writing, without language restrictions.
Submissions are welcome on topics such as quantification of variation, impact of annotation errors, syntactic variation induced by semantic changes, variation mitigation, domain adaptation, error analysis, evolution of grammatical categories, and the role of variation studies in NLP in the large language model era.
Abstracts should be submitted before the extended deadline of April 30, 2024, and must include research questions, approach, method, data, and (expected) results. For more information, please refer to the full workshop description.
