Arabic Propagandistic Techniques Detection Shared Task at ArabicNLP 2024

Join us for the Arabic Propagandistic Techniques Detection Shared Task at the ArabicNLP 2024 conference, co-located with ACL 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. This shared task offers two sub-tasks: (i) detecting propaganda techniques in text, and (ii) distinguishing between propagandistic and non-propagandistic memes. Participants will be provided with datasets for news articles, tweets, and memes to test their models. Submissions for Task 1 (unimodal propagandistic technique detection) are due by May 1, 2024, and submissions for Task 2 (multimodal propagandistic meme classification) are due by the same date. The evaluation cycle begins on April 27, 2024, and the leaderboard will be released on May 5, 2024. Papers are due by July 1, 2024, and will be published in the conference proceedings.
