ASIRF 2025: Autumn School on Information Retrieval and Foraging, August 24-29, 2025, at Schloss Dagstuhl – Leibniz-Zentrum für Informatik (LZI).

Registration is now open for ASIRF 2025, the Autumn School on Information Retrieval and Information Foraging, taking place at Schloss Dagstuhl – Leibniz-Zentrum für Informatik (LZI) from August 24 to 29, 2025.

The school provides a holistic perspective on Information Retrieval and Information Foraging, covering conceptual and methodological knowledge from both fields, as well as recent research topics such as using large language models for information retrieval tasks.

The program includes tutorials on foundations of Interactive IR, Deep Learning for IR, Conversational Search, Fairness and Bias, Multimodal retrieval and data analysis, User Experiments and Interactive IR, Complex Casual Leisure Information Needs, and User Simulations for IR.

The intended audience includes doctoral or MA students and young researchers working in Information Retrieval, Information Foraging, or using concepts or methods from these fields in their research domains.
