Brown University to Host Memorial Event for Eugene Charniak

Brown University is inviting the ACL community to attend an academic memorial event for Eugene Charniak, a renowned researcher and winner of the ACL Lifetime Achievement Award. The two-day workshop, taking place on November 8-9, 2023, will feature invited presentations of cutting-edge research in the areas of statistical NLP/ML, simple baselines, data sparsity, and unsupervised learning. The event will include a keynote presentation by Mark Johnson, research talks by notable researchers, and panel discussions.
