Call for Papers: 1st Shared Task on Spoken-Query Cross-Lingual Information Retrieval for Indic Languages (SqCLIR 2024)

We are excited to announce the 1st Shared Task on Spoken-Query Cross-Lingual Information Retrieval for Indic Languages (SqCLIR 2024). This shared task aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working on cross-lingual information retrieval for the Indic languages. The task will focus on retrieving relevant information from a collection of documents in a source language, given a spoken query in a target language.

The shared task is organized as part of the Corpora-List, a mailing list dedicated to the discussion of language resources and their applications. The task is open to all interested researchers and practitioners, and we encourage submissions from both academia and industry.
