Call for Papers: 8th Northern Lights Deep Learning Conference, Tromsø, Norway, 07-09 January 2025

The 8th Northern Lights Deep Learning Conference (NLDL) will take place on 7-9 January 2025 in Tromsø, Norway. The conference is organized by Visual Intelligence and the UiT Machine Learning Group. The NLDL winter school, which is a part of the NORA research school, will take place from Jan 6 to Jan 10, 2025, and will include scientific topics, an industry event, a women in AI event, and transferable skills. We invite submissions presenting new and original research on all aspects of Deep Learning. The topics include but are not limited to general machine learning, general deep learning, optimization, probabilistic methods, social and economic aspects of machine learning, applications, and deep learning for sciences. The review process is double-blind.

The conference will feature top international speakers, including Michael Felsberg from Linköping University, Sweden, and Bram van Ginneken from Radboud University Medical Center, Netherlands. The proceedings will appear in PMLR and are approved as a level 1 publication in the Norwegian national list of authorized research publication channels.

Deadline for full papers submissions: September 2nd, 2024. Deadline for extended abstracts: Mid October 2024 (exact date to be announced). Instructions about the template and submission can be found on http://www.nldl.org.
