Call for Participation: SHARED TASK on Persuasion Techniques

Participate in the Shared Task on detecting and classifying persuasion techniques in Slavic languages, co-located with Slav-NLP 2025 at ACL 2025.

The Shared Task on Detection and Classification of Persuasion Techniques in Parliamentary Debates and Social Media for Slavic Languages is now open for registration. This task, co-located with the Slav-NLP 2025 Workshop at ACL 2025, invites researchers to participate in a detailed analysis of persuasion techniques in Bulgarian, Polish, Croatian, Slovene, and Russian.

The task is divided into two subtasks:

  • Subtask 1: Detection – Identify whether text fragments contain persuasion techniques from a predefined taxonomy.
  • Subtask 2: Classification – Determine which specific persuasion techniques are used in the text fragments.
