Call for Special Issue Proposals: Journal of Natural Language Processing
Journal of Natural Language Processing invites proposals for special issues on recent developments in applied NLP.
The Journal of Natural Language Processing invites proposals for special issues on a competitive basis, covering recent developments in applied NLP. Topics may include methods, tasks, resources, and applications from NLP, Computational Linguistics, Speech and Language Processing, Text Analytics, and related areas.
Proposals may be based on a successful workshop or a body of work associated with a particular group or section of the community. Interested parties can submit expressions of interest to the Executive Editor for preliminary feedback.
The proposal should include a brief outline of the field, rationale, literature survey, and added value against other relevant publications. It should also include a tentative Guest Editorial Board, time-scale, and information about the prospective Guest Editors.

- Notification of acceptance/rejection: 19 May 2025
- Calls for papers related to the successful proposals: 7 June 2025 (first call) and July-September 2025 (second and third calls, if applicable)
