Call for papers for the 3rd Workshop on Hybrid Human-Machine Learning and Decision Making at ECMLPKDD 2025

The 3rd Workshop on Hybrid Human-Machine Learning and Decision Making (HLDM’25) will take place on September 15th or 19th, 2025, as part of ECML-PKDD 2025. The workshop aims to gather researchers addressing various aspects of effective hybrid decision making.

We invite submissions on topics including learning to defer, learning to complement, selective classification, cost-sensitive learning, active learning, calibration of learning models, interactive machine learning, human-in-the-loop machine learning, and more.

Submissions can be short papers (6 pages + references), regular papers (14 pages + references), or non-archival submissions presenting relevant work recently accepted or under submission/review at other venues.

Key dates include paper submission deadline (June 14, 2025), paper author notification (July 14, 2025), and the workshop date (September 15 or 19, 2025).
