CLEF 2025: Conference and Labs of the Evaluation Forum

CLEF 2025 is the 16th conference in the series of CLEF campaigns, which have been running since 2000, contributing to the systematic evaluation of information access systems. The conference will take place on 9-12 September 2025 in Madrid, Spain. CLEF 2025 consists of an independent peer-reviewed conference and a set of labs and workshops designed to test different aspects of mono and cross-language Information retrieval systems. Registration for participation in labs is now open.

The conference will take place on 9-12 September 2025 in Madrid, Spain. CLEF 2025 consists of an independent peer-reviewed conference and a set of labs and workshops designed to test different aspects of mono and cross-language Information retrieval systems. The labs feature a diverse set of tasks, including BioASQ, CheckThat!, ELOQUENT, eRisk, EXIST, ImageCLEF, JOKER, LifeCLEF, LongEval, PAN Lab, QuantumCLEF, SimpleText, and TalentCLEF. Each lab focuses on a specific aspect of information retrieval, such as biomedical semantic indexing, journalistic verification, language model quality, early risk prediction, species presence prediction, longitudinal evaluation, stylometry and digital text forensics, quantum annealing, simplifying scientific text, and skill and job title intelligence for human capital management.

Important dates: registration opens on 18 November 2025, registration closes on 25 April 2025, end of evaluation cycle on 10 May 2025, submission of participant papers on 30 May 2025, and the conference will take place on 9-12 September 2025 in Madrid, Spain.
