ClimateCheck Shared Task: Scientific Fact-Checking of Climate Change Claims

Participate in the ClimateCheck Shared Task, a scientific fact-checking competition on climate change claims, hosted at ACL 2025.

Participate in the ClimateCheck Shared Task, a scientific fact-checking competition focused on climate change claims on social media. Hosted as part of the SDP 2025 Workshop at ACL 2025 in Vienna, Austria, this task aims to link public discourse to peer-reviewed scholarly articles.

The task consists of two subtasks: Abstracts Retrieval and Claim Verification. In Subtask I, participants will retrieve the top 10 most relevant abstracts for a given claim, while in Subtask II, they will classify the relation between the claim and abstract as ‘supports’, ‘refutes’, or ‘not enough information’.

Important dates include the release of training data on April 1, 2025, and testing data on April 15, 2025. The deadline for system submissions is May 16, 2025, and paper submissions are due on May 23, 2025.
