Conference on Rational Approaches in Language Science (RAILS) – Call for Submissions
The 2nd Conference on Rational Approaches in Language Science (RAILS) will be held in Saarbruecken, Germany, 13-15 February 2025. The conference focuses on rational communication, exploring how interlocutors process and update information, adapt language use to certain contexts, and store and maintain linguistic and conceptual information in memory.
Researchers across the language sciences are invited to submit abstracts for talks or posters that apply rational probabilistic explanations to linguistic phenomena or bring novel experimental findings to bear on such accounts.
Keynote speakers include Mark Dingemanse, Richard Futrell, Adele Goldberg, and Rachel Ryskin. Submissions open on July 8, 2024 and are due on September 16, 2024. For more information and to submit an abstract, please visit our conference website.
