ELLIS Institute Finland, set to launch in 2025, is recruiting Principal Investigators (PIs) to lead research teams in artificial intelligence and machine Learning (ML). This is a unique opportunity for researchers at all career stages to engage in work with global impact in one of the world’s premier research environments for AI and ML.
Finland boasts cutting-edge computing resources, including the LUMI supercomputer, strong governmental and industrial support for AI and technology, and a thriving AI ecosystem. The selected PIs will become Fellows or Scholars of the ELLIS Society, a distinction of highCaliber scientists advancing the fields of AI and ML.
Samuel Kaski, Director of ELLIS Institute Finland and professor at Aalto University, emphasizes the timely launch of the Institute, noting that Finland is becoming the place to be for trailblazing AI research. PIs will enjoy great academic freedom and access to considerable funding for personnel, equipment, and running costs, with positions on the tenure Track at participating Finnish universities.
