Exciting Opportunity: Full Professorship in Machine Learning at Saarland University
The Department of Computer Science at Saarland University in Saarbrücken is currently accepting applications for a W3 professorship in the field of Machine Learning (ML). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a vibrant and international research community at the Saarland Informatics Campus, which is home to several renowned research institutes such as the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), the Center for Bioinformatics, and the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security.
The position is open to applicants in all modern areas of ML, including theoretical and applied deep learning, reinforcement learning, causal ML, trustworthy and robust ML, and more. The university is particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to the research and teaching activities of the department in the aforementioned areas.
The successful applicant will be considered for affiliation with either the Max Planck Institute for Informatics or the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside some of the world’s leading researchers in the field of computer science and ML.
