We are thrilled to announce 12 PhD positions in the Research Training Group (RTG) 2853 "Neuroexplicit Models of Language, Vision, and Action" at Saarland University, Germany.

Join a dynamic and international group of researchers in one of the leading centers for computer science, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing in Europe. The RTG brings together researchers from Saarland University, Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security, and German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence.

The positions are funded for four years at the TV-L E13 100% pay scale and are intended to start in September 2025. You should have or be about to complete an MSc degree in computer science or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in one of the RTG’s research areas.

As a PhD student, you will be jointly supervised by two advisors from the list of Principal Investigators and will have the freedom to define your own research topic. We encourage cross-disciplinary topics that push the boundaries of traditional research fields.
