First Workshop on Natural Language Argument-Based Explanations (ArgNLE) at ECAI 2024

Workshop Summary: The First Workshop on Natural Language Argument-Based Explanations (ArgNLE) will be held on October 20th, 2024, in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and will be co-located with ECAI 2024. The workshop aims to explore the intersection of Explainable AI (XAI) and Computational Argumentation, focusing on natural language argument-based explanations. The workshop welcomes contributions related to various topics, including dialectical, dialogical, and conversational explanations, AI methods for argumentative explainability, user-acceptance and evaluation of argumentation-based explanations, and real-world applications.

Important Dates:
– Paper submission: June 20th, 2024 (EXTENDED)
– Notification of acceptance: July 10th, 2024
– Camera-ready papers: July 31st, 2024
– ArgNLE workshop: October 20th, 2024

Submission Instructions:
Papers must be written in English, prepared for double-blind review, and not exceed 7 pages (not including references). The ECAI LaTeX template can be found at https://ecai2024.eu/download/ecai-template.zip. Submissions should be made via EasyChair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=argnle2024.
