GEMS2025’s Project Title: AI-Driven Incidental Detection of Unruptured Intracranial Aneurysms: Development of a Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning Tool for Enhanced Neuroimaging.
- Incidental detection of unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIAs) has become more critical with advancements in imaging technologies.
- UIAs affect about 3% of the global population, with higher prevalence in certain risk groups.
- Developing a lightweight AI tool, powered by an adaptive cooperative multi-agent reinforcement learning algorithm, integrated into routine imaging systems, can automatically pre-screen for aneurysms, aiding clinicians in early detection of incidental UIA and improving patient outcomes.
Supervisors: Assoc. Professor Vishnu Monn, Ts. Dr. Sicily Fung Fung, Dr. Yasmeen George, and Assoc. Professor Zongyuan Ge.
Duration: 3 years.
Stipend: RM 2,850 for 33-36 months in Malaysia or RM 8,500 for up to 9 months in Australia.
