Chiba Institute of Technology launches Graduate School of Design & Science with Master’s and PhD programs in English, offering funding opportunities. Apply by July 14th, 2025.

Chiba Institute of Technology is launching a new international graduate program, the Graduate School of Design & Science (SDS), set to open in April 2026. SDS offers fully English-language Master’s and PhD programs, with available funding opportunities.

The program brings together a diverse founding faculty, including Joi Ito, Catharina Maracke, and Joe Austerweil, among others. Students will engage with topics such as AI, systems design, and digital law.

• Pre-applications are open from June 2nd to July 14th, 2025.
• Virtual interviews will be conducted shortly after, with final candidate notifications at the end of July.
