GROUND Workshop at RSS 2024: Advancing Group Understanding and Robots’ Adaptive Behavior
The GROUND workshop, now in its second edition, is set to take place on July 19th, 2024, during the RSS: Robotics: Science and Systems conference at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. This workshop aims to bring together researchers from diverse backgrounds to discuss the challenges and opportunities of investigating group dynamics in Human-Robot Interaction (HRI).
Researchers are invited to submit short papers (2-4 pages) showcasing innovative strategies for exploring group-robot interactions. The deadline for submissions has been extended to June 10th, 2024. Accepted authors will have the opportunity to present their research during an interactive poster session, with the best poster receiving a 200$ reimbursement from the Technical Committee for Cognitive Robotics.
The workshop’s website (https://ground-hri.github.io/workshop/) contains more information about the topics and the call for papers. Contributions can be submitted through the EasyChair platform. The workshop will be held in a hybrid format as a half-day afternoon session and recorded for later viewing, making it accessible to attendees from different time zones.
Additionally, workshop authors will be invited to submit an extended version of their contribution to the Special Issue on Group-Robot Interaction in collaboration with the International Journal of Interaction Studies, a prestigious venue for publishing research in this field.
