HeaLing Workshop: Call for Papers at EACL 2026
The HeaLing Workshop at EACL 2026 invites research on linguistic analysis for health, integrating qualitative and computational methods. Submissions due December 19, 2025.
The First International Workshop on Linguistic Analysis for Health (HeaLing’26) is co-located with EACL 2026 in Rabat, Morocco, on March 24–29, 2026. The workshop invites contributions that integrate qualitative and computational methods to examine how language informs and transforms medicine.
Key topics include:
- Computational + qualitative discourse analysis of health-related texts
- Metaphor and framing in illness narratives and public health messaging
- Narrative medicine and story-centered clinical interventions
- Historical and contemporary discourse studies of medical epistemologies
- Language, power, and inequality in health contexts
