IROS 2024 Workshop: Environment Dynamics Matters – Embodied Navigation to Movable Objects

We are delighted to announce the IROS 2024 Workshop on Environment Dynamics Matters: Embodied Navigation to Movable Objects, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on October 14, 2024. This workshop aims to emphasize the importance of environment dynamics in long-horizon embodied navigation and manipulation tasks. We invite researchers to participate and contribute their research in the form of short paper submissions.

The workshop will cover topics including the extraction of spatio-temporal object information, modeling of spatial-temporal object information, generation of dynamic simulation environments, planning of smart actions for dynamic embodied navigation and manipulation, and deployment of dynamic embodied navigation and manipulation on real-world robotic platforms.

A Best Paper Award will be given to the best submission, and the winner will be announced at the workshop. The workshop will feature invited talks from experts in the field, including Luca Carlone (MIT), Roberto Martin-Martin (University of Texas at Austin), Abhinav Valada (University of Freiburg), Oier Mees (UC Berkeley), and Maithili Patel (Georgia Institute of Technology).

The workshop is endorsed by the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Algorithms for Planning and Control of Robot Motion, the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Cognitive Robotics, the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Machine Learning for Automation, the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Mobile Manipulation, the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Robot Learning, and the CAA Technical Committee on Intelligent Automation.

The workshop is sponsored by NOKOV Motion Capture.
