IROS 2024 Workshop on Maritime Heterogeneous Unmanned Robotic Systems

The IROS 2024 Workshop on Maritime Heterogeneous Unmanned Robotic Systems (MHURS) aims to bring together experts in the field of robotics and maritime operations. The workshop will focus on the integration of advanced technologies in the maritime domain, including unmanned surface vessels (USVs), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), underwater autonomous vehicles (AUVs), and manipulators. With sustainability as a guiding principle, the workshop will explore the potential of MHURS to contribute to eco-friendly maritime practices, such as environmental conservation, resource efficiency, and carbon emissions inspection. The workshop will also consider the implications of replacing human workers with unmanned systems.

The workshop will take place on October 14, 2024, and will feature invited speakers from around the world. A call for participation will be announced in the summer of 2024, targeting audiences from both academia and industry. Presentations and papers from the workshop will be made available through the workshop’s website.
