Job Summary: Samsung Research America (SRA) is seeking a Senior Researcher with expertise in deep learning, computer vision, and speech and language understanding for their Core Machine Learning research team in Mountain View, CA. This position offers the opportunity to work with a team of research scientists and engineers on real-world problems, as well as the potential to publish in top-tier conferences.
Responsibilities: The Senior Researcher will conduct advanced research in machine learning, computer vision, data mining, and natural language understanding, collaborate with colleagues to apply research results to prototypes and real-world applications, quickly prototype new ideas, contribute to patentable ideas, and summarize research findings in high-quality papers.
Required Skills: The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science or related discipline, 1+ years of work experience in industry, a strong publication record in top-tier machine learning conferences and journals, experience with ML frameworks such as Py Torch, TensorFlow, and Keras, and strong fundamentals in applied statistics and probability.
Desired Skills: Experience with multimodal computer vision, dense video captioning research, and strong verbal and written communication skills are highly desirable.
